Wales Screen Commission

The Wales Screen Commission has been working closely with two of Britain's two new rising stars of Film.
MJ McMahon from Rhyl and Sean McArdell from Barmouth are graduates of NEWI (Wrexham University) Film Course and in the last year they have written and directed Hawk – The Movie, which filmed in Snowdonia.
A eerie and evocative story about a young boy living in the past this film stars Philip Madoc and has won the distinction of becoming the first trailer for a short film to be distributed to UK cinemas. It will soon be shown nationally on the satellite station Propellor.
Mac and Sean will also be taking their film to this year's prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

The Wales Screen Commission was closely involved at all stages of the development assisting in locations, crew and facilities and will be looking forward to playing a part in this year's premiere of the film to be held at NEWI.
The making of the film has also been featured on BBC Wales' magazine programme Wales Tonight
