Joanna Maw started acting from an early age and has mostly been involved in theatre up until very recently. She had her first professional role when she was 11 and has been involved in many college and theatre productions which include A Jovial Crew, On the Tongue of a Bird, Moll Flanders and The Mill on the Floss.
She has also been in several commercials and television programmes including Hope and Glory (BBC) and Teachers (Channel 4). Hawk is her third short film which follows the award winning short films Jessica Makes a Future and M J McMahon’s SouthSide.
Joanna has also been cast in 11:22 Entertainment’s next production which is the one off two hour TV drama adaptation of Matthew David Scott’s novel Playing Mercy.
