| I was directed to your site through a production I'm helping out with based in York ('Human Residue') and I just wanted to say that you guys have an excellent website with lots of information for people to find out about what you're doing, with even more to come! Sounds like a really cool project and I wish you the very best of luck. I shall keep up to date with your progress via the site.

| Hi there,
very impressed with your hawk website, and really looking forward to the film, and the behind the scenes info you're putting up! Really glad you're doing this.
I actually saw your old hawk website a few months back, and was inspired back then, because it helped us design the website for my indy feature film (in progress). feel free to check it out, below. Goodluck with the shoot and keep up the great website. it's a wonderful lesson for us all.

| Dear Hawk team,
Just wanted to thank you again for the chance to help out on the set of Hawk. It really was a rewarding experience, and like I said to you, I personally benefited from it a great deal in more ways than I ever thought I would. I learned a LOT! Sure, the hours were long...sure, it was early starts every day....sure, the conditions were wet, boggy and extremely uncomfortable...but I still loved it! I found everyone on set very accommodating and helpful, and they turned out to be a great bunch to work with. I fully intend to keep in touch with the Hawk site to see the progress of
the film through editing, mixing, etc, and look forward to seeing the
finished film in all its high-definition glory sometime next spring (?).
Good luck with the post-production stages!
All the best and thanks again.

Mac that was more than a job. That shoot was extreme! I felt exhilarated, enthused, wanted, energized, appreciated, involved, included. Happy. I met amazing people that taught and gave me a LOT. I feel blessed to have been a part of such an endeavor, and a part of the vision, and everyone else who made The Hawk into a reality. In sixteen years I've never seen such enthusiasm, joy and spirit like that. Dreamt of it. Longed and wished for it. But that was the first time I experienced it whole.

| Hi Guys,
Well here I am sitting on my comfy sofa, real coffee in hand, having a guilt free DVD marathon.....Who says a sprained ankle is all bad!! It has kind of swollen up and looks like something belonging to the Elephant man...But I am of course still chippa and loving the sympathy!!
I have been watching the production diaries and it looks like the rainshave descended once again!! Thank god we had the sun when we did for those earlier scenes. But alas after texting all my friends and colleagues, there has been no camera department featured on the weblog!! Shame on you Neil!
Talking of which; I hope the slightly reformed camera department is working out. I was so gutted when my ankle went....I instantly knew it was game over for me.
I am so disappointed to have left early. It was a fantastic experience, indeed one of the most positive film making experiences I have ever had the privilege of being part of. And it is because of you guys; the head honchos, the big cheeses....You could tell how much you believed in it and would stop at nothing to get it made. For very good reason, it is a fantastic script. That enthusiasm is always infectious. You had a lovely crew, who all shared your enthusiasm without ego or arrogance. Not often will a producer carry you monitor up a mountain......Cheers
Sean!!
If there was another M J McMahon project it would be fabulous to do it all again, but without the hurty ankle bit!!
Thanks again Sean for your chauffeur services on Wednesday, much appreciated.
Well must hobble off guys, Whale Rider beckons.......
Take care and good luck with the final push.
Kindest regards
